Therapy Isn’t One Size Fits All
This is a space where every part of you is welcome: the seen, the hidden, the familiar, and the forgotten. My approach combines evidence-based practices with the wisdom of ways of knowing that cannot always be measured, yet still move and transform us.
Together, we’ll explore the whole of your experience:
Mind — making space for your thoughts and feelings, and holding them with curiosity and kindness
Body — noticing how stress and emotions show up physically and understanding their messages
Relationships — exploring how the past and present shape your sense of self & ways of relating
Social Context — understanding how culture, systems, and identities affect your wellbeing
Meaning — reconnecting with purpose, values, and your own sense of vitality
At its heart, this work is about creating the safety and support you need to grow into your fullest, most authentic self—one that is alive not only in mind and body, but also in soul.
The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.
– Carl Jung
A Holistic Therapeutic Approach
Relational & Trauma-Informed
Our earliest relationships and experiences shape the way we move through the world. When those experiences were painful, interrupted, or misattuned, they can leave lasting imprints that follow us into the present.
In therapy, we’ll create a space to gently explore how those past patterns — whether performing, pleasing, or protecting — may still be influencing you today. Within the safety and genuineness of a therapeutic relationship, new possibilities for growth can emerge.
You may find yourself reconnecting with parts of you that felt overlooked or forgotten, and discovering new ways of relating with kindness, trust, and vitality.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) is rooted in behavioural science, but its heart is both compassionate and practical. It helps you notice unhelpful patterns — like avoidance, clinging, or perfectionism — and shift toward actions that align with what truly matters to you.
Rather than getting caught in numbing, worry, or overwhelm, ACT supports you in turning toward your thoughts and feelings with curiosity and kindness. As you build psychological flexibility, you’ll find more freedom to make choices that feel meaningful, even in the midst of uncertainty or discomfort.
Somatic & Nervous System Attunement
Our bodies often hold what our minds can’t put into words. Through somatic therapy, we pay attention to the subtle signals, rhythms, and sensations of your body as a source of wisdom and safety.
This isn’t about “doing techniques” or digging into wounds — it’s about learning to listen differently. Together, we’ll notice when your nervous system feels activated, shut down, or stuck in old protective patterns, and explore what helps you return to a grounded, connected state.
Over time, you may find it easier to stay present with yourself, soften reactivity, and feel more at home in your own body and self.
Other Training & Influences:
Psychodynamic perspectives
Attachment, neuroscience & polyvagal theory
Positive psychology & personality theories
Anti-oppressive & social justice perspectives
Somatic & embodiment practices
Spiritual & mindfulness-based traditions
In addition to ongoing study and formal training, I engage in regular clinical supervision and peer consultation to ensure my practice remains ethical, reflexive, and client-centered.
Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation
As a long-time yoga and mindfulness practitioner, embodied practices are deeply ingrained in my understanding and approach to supporting the therapeutic process. You don’t need any prior experience—these offerings are optional and tailored to your comfort, interests, and needs.
We might explore:
Simple grounding exercises or breath practices to support you in the moment
Mindfulness-based strategies to help you relate to thoughts and feelings differently
Gentle body-based awareness to reconnect with your inner signals and needs
Themes like self-compassion, impermanence, or acceptance through present-moment awareness
This integrative lens honours the wisdom of both body and mind, helping you build tools for self-regulation, self-trust, and a more grounded sense of being.
